..... The wait in staging was so long that I was only able to get in 2 laps. These two laps were also the only two laps I was able to ride on my own gear and my own bike. It could have been worse, but it also could have been alot better. I felt totally foreign on my bike. The track was also way different than I was used to riding. It was super fast and had big steep lips. Two laps on my bike definitely didn't give me the time I needed to get used to everything, but never the less I kept positive and hopeful not really knowing what was going to happen once racing started.
First Moto's never go well.. You're all gittery, not fully warmed up, etc. I snapped a great gate but then my 2nd crank follow through foot got stuck at top dead center in my pedal stroke for what seemed like forever. My lanes for the Motos were 2,7,4 which I was stoked about. Throughout the three Motos i raced well but didn't ride well.
Every race is a learning experience and from this race I learned areas that I was strong in and of course the areas I was weakest in. Now I have a gauge of where I need to head from here when I get back to the states. More to follow...
