Alright sorry for the delay in the race update, things have been crazy here in Copenhagen.
So I'll take you through what happened through out the whole day on Thursday.
So my alarm went off at 5 a.m. Because I had forgotten that we didn't even practice until 8:00 so I had planned on sleeping in until 6 until a few minutes later I realized I was totally wired with race day excitement. So I proceeded to get up and go about my usual morning ritual of showing, taking supplements at the appropriate times, performing last minute maintenance checks on my bike, etc. At 6:30 I headed downstairs with hopes of consuming a massive race day
Breakfast in order to keep me well fueled throughout what I expected to be a long day. Well that idea was shot as soon as I took my first few bites of food along with my usual morning coffee. I soon realized I could barely stomach even a few bites of food. I guess I was more nervous than I was letting myself to think. So I just figured I would go with it and drink more of my 2-1-1 recovery drink to get my energy in. Then I finished packing up and headed to the track trying to calm myself and stat positive.
We had practice scheduled for 8-8:55 so I was hoping for atleast 3 laps. Well staging for practice was absolutely insane! It was like herding 300 cows through a gate which could only fit 4 wide at best. Talk about bottle
Necking!
